Our Services

A comprehensive overview of the finance leasing solutions available through ATLAS AUTO-LEASING GmbH. All services are advisory in nature — offered for informational purposes only.

Finance Leasing Services

Finanzierungsleasing (finance leasing) is a structured form of asset financing in which the lessee gains full economic use of a vehicle for a defined period, while the lessor retains legal ownership. We guide clients through every stage of this process.

Private Vehicle Finance Leasing

Individuals seeking to finance a passenger vehicle under a fixed-term leasing agreement can access structured solutions through our advisory service. We help identify the appropriate lease term, monthly rate, and residual value for your vehicle of choice.

All proposals include a complete cost breakdown so that you can compare the total cost of ownership against alternatives before making any commitment.

Corporate Fleet Finance Leasing

For businesses managing vehicle fleets — from small enterprises to larger organisations — we provide consolidated leasing advisory covering multiple vehicles under a single framework agreement. Fleet leasing can simplify cost planning and reduce administrative overhead.

We advise on vehicle selection, term structures, and contract management while ensuring accounting treatment aligns with HGB or IFRS requirements as applicable.

Lease Structure Advisory

Not all leasing structures are the same. The choice of residual value, term length, annual mileage, and deposit can materially affect both the monthly rate and the end-of-lease position. We analyse your specific situation to identify which configuration is most cost-effective for you.

This service is designed to ensure clients understand the economic implications of a leasing agreement before signing — not after.

Tax & Accounting Considerations

Finance leases have specific treatment under German tax law and accounting standards. For corporate clients, we provide general guidance on how leasing obligations appear on the balance sheet and how lease payments are typically recognised for income tax purposes.

This information is provided for general guidance only and does not substitute for advice from a qualified Steuerberater or Wirtschaftsprüfer.

Lease Extension & Termination Guidance

As a lease approaches its end date, clients face decisions about extension, early termination, or vehicle return. Each path carries different cost implications. We provide clear guidance on the options available and help clients evaluate the financial outcome of each path.

End-of-lease planning should begin well before the contract end date — we recommend starting this review at least six months in advance.

Ongoing Lease Management Support

We remain a point of contact throughout the lease term. Questions about mileage limits, vehicle condition, insurance obligations, or contract amendments are addressed by your named consultant — not a call centre.

We maintain a long-term advisory relationship with clients, particularly those managing corporate fleets where ongoing communication is essential.

What is Finanzierungsleasing?

Finanzierungsleasing is the German legal and accounting designation for what is internationally known as a finance lease. Under this arrangement, the lessee — the party using the vehicle — gains full economic use of the asset for the duration of the lease term.

Unlike an operating lease, a finance lease typically results in the lessee bearing the risks and rewards of ownership. This has specific implications for how the lease is recorded in commercial accounts and how it is treated for tax purposes under German law.

Key characteristics of Finanzierungsleasing include a fixed term, a defined residual value at contract end, and monthly lease instalments that reflect the vehicle's depreciation over the term.

At the end of the lease term, the lessee typically has the option to purchase the vehicle at the agreed residual value, return the vehicle (subject to condition and mileage assessment), or in some cases extend the agreement.

For corporate clients, the balance sheet treatment of finance leases changed significantly following the adoption of IFRS 16 and its equivalent under HGB. We provide general orientation on this topic — but always recommend that clients consult a qualified accountant for their specific situation.
